CASE STUDY CATEGORIES

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Sector: Higher Education (Tertiary)
Location: Canberra, ACT

Our client is a world-leading university in Australia's capital city, Canberra. The location points to the unique history, ties to the Australian Government and special standing as a resource for the Australian people.

With a focus on excellence in research and education, they ensure their graduates are in demand the world over and well-prepared to address complex, contemporary challenges.

Issue

The university was undergoing a digital transformation program initiative where they had attempted (and failed) to address new ways of engaging with their stakeholders on multiple occasions. The university needed to work as one to drive best practice innovation and efficiency to ensure that the customer (academia, research, and students) experience was at the forefront of every decision; both operationally and strategically. The university engaged EIM to deliver an experienced C-Suite executive who could develop the group’s five-year digital strategy which focused on and engaged all customer groups on a global stage.

Solution

EIM appointed an Interim Manager to run this assignment within one week. The individual had completed numerous complex engagements for EIM before, across both private equity and ASX listed organisations. Importantly, the individual who was introduced had worked across a federated environment on a global scale prior to this assignment which held them in strong stead to adapt to the university’s culture and organisational structure.
