Issue

Over a six-month period, the group had lost its Head of Private Equity and the supporting Research and Transactions team. These departures were sudden. With a backlog of works currently ‘in flight’, the group determined that they would need to appoint an experienced Interim Manager with immediate effect. This appointee would need to develop the trust of the team quickly. In addition, they needed to provide the management and leadership of the private market’s investment portfolio and, in some cases, their overseas joint venture partners from day one. This was the catalyst for an interim manager who possessed a proven, known, and deep track record in private equity investment.

Solution

EIM turned this process around within one week. The Interim Manager we appointed had over three decades' experience running both domestic and global investment management organisations and was currently sitting on three boards of listed and unlisted entities. They possessed a hands-on style which was needed on this assignment.
